Customers of troubled building materials company; Aspet A in Tamale threaten to petition overload of Dagbon over their locked up investments.

Hundreds of aggrieved customers of troubled-building materials firm –Aspet A in the Tamale metropolis have threatened to petition the overlord of Dagbon and northern Regional minister to put pressure on the management of Aspet A to enable them retrieved their locked up investments with the company

This follows Aspet A’s failure to meet the thirty days ultimatum they gave to clear all that they owed their customers.

The company which dealt in buiding materials has since December 2018 suffered some financial difficulties thereby resulting in the closure of the company with many of its customers having their capital in the forms of building materials locked up since last year.

According to some of the aggrieved customers who besieged the premises of Diamond fM on Monday to expressed their unhappiness with the decision of Aspet A’s management to keep mute on the issue, they claimed that the CEO of the Aspet A, promised to clear them before 28 December 2018, but had failed to honor his promises to them.

Some of the customers also claimed to had deposited huge sum of money to the company with the aimed of purchase building materials such as cement, Zinc among others but their money had been locked up.

The worried customers told Diamond News they will never let go of their investments. They also warned that they will hit the streets of Tamale if authorities failed to put pressure on the company to refund their monies.

“We don’t know what is going on. Nobody is telling us anything since the closure of the company. They promised to give us our properties but that is not happening. I am appealing to them to give me my properties I am a tenant and my lord is on my neck since my rent has expired’’ one customer stated.

‘’I have deposited a lot of money with the company for Zinc and cement for four months now, I have tried to take my properties from them, but they are nowhere to be found. In fact we will protest if they do not return our properties, we will not condoned the empty promises.’’ another customer fumed.

Meanwhile the chief executive officer of Aspet A, company, Kelvin in his response to the issue on Diamond fM, assured the aggrieved customers that the company is putting some measures in place to refund the properties to their clients.
