CPP group in Tamale calls for resignationof their national chairman Prof,Edumund Delle

A Tamale based Convention People’s Party group, the Concerned Senior Citizens and Youth Forum is calling for the immediate resignation of the party’s national Chairman, Prof. EdumundDellefor his inability to manage party affairs.

According to the group, the party had confidence in Prof Delle and endorsed him for the chairmanship position in September 2015 for improvement and development of the party but his leadership style have since proved otherwise.

The CPP at the National Delegates Congress at Sunyani on 19th September, 2015 massively endorsed Prof Delle hoping that his administration will surely improve and enhance the development of the [arty, but this rather turned out to be the most depression situation since 1992.

In a press released signed by the Chairman of the group EgalaAlidu and copied to Diamond news, the group also urged Chairman Delle to rescind on his decision to contest for the flagbearership of the party.

The group also claimed that, the CPP under the leadership of Prof Delle is yet to hold the first National Executive Council (NEC) meeting to evaluate the performance of the CPP in the 2016 general elections.

He could not even organize one single NEC meeting to access the impact of the 2016 general elections on the party performance

They said Prof. EdumundDelle must resign for his show of political immaturity to bring cohesion and unity within the party since he is unable to bring together all persons that fell off under his watch.

Another area where the leader and Chairman of the party exercise political immaturity is his inability to form cohesion in the party by bringing all who fell apart from the party in his administration to help build a better party

The group urged members of the Convention People’s Party to reject the lifeless agenda of the Party’s Chairman, Prof EdumundDelle in his bid to lead the party into the 2020 general elections.
