The Tamale Circuit Court has issued a bench warrant for the arrest of an accused person, one ABUBAKARI MUSAH, who allegedly defrauded a medical doctor to the tune of Gh₵160,000
The order issued on Thursday, February 27, 2020, by the Court to arrest the accused is in respect of a case of defrauding by false pretenses involving the accused.
According to the Northern Regional Crime Officer of the Northern Regional Police Command, Kwabena Otuo Acheapong, the accused person defrauded a medical doctor to the tune of 160,000 Ghana cedis under pretenses of getting him an appointment to the government institution.
He said the accused is believed to be hiding in Tamale or Accra.
The Northern Regional Crime Officer speaking to Diamondfmonline.com, however called on the general public to assist the police with information to apprehend the accused person.
This he said will enable the police put him before Court to answer the charges of defrauding by false pretenses.
