Coalition of Concern Teachers embarks on an indefinite strike

The coalition of concerned teachers Ghana-CCT GH in the northern region, say they are boycotting classroom activities until government settles all its indebtedness to members.

According to the Northern regional chairman of the coalition of concerned teachers, the nationwide strike actions by members’ starts from November 1, Thursday, in agitations over outstanding arrears of members and the introduction of a compulsory insurance policy for teachers.

The CCT GH, set November 1 as the tentative date for the commencement of the action, after deliberations with government on countless occasion, ended on deadlock.

Speaking to our news team, Laar Yaw Nanang stated that there was no turning back on their decision.

Laar Yaw Nanang warned that, they will not compromise on their stance, hence government should honor their demands immediately to avert crisis in the educational sector.

He rallied the support of other teacher unions, to join forces in pushing for better conditions of service.
