Coach Baba Nuhu Mallam has retained his position as coach of the national female under 17 team, the Black Maidens. After taking over the side a year ago, the soft spoken tactician has been given another chance to steer affairs of the team for at least another year.
During the year under review, coach Baba Nuhu Mallam successfully guided the team to the last qualifying hurdle for the FIFA under 17 womens World Cup as they were to face Nigeria in the last round but the covid 19 pandemic stalled the process leading to FIFA cancelling all the tournaments.
It is therefore only fair to give him another chance at the wheel. There were however some slight changes to the technical team in the latest announcement.
Coach Baba Nuhu Mallam is a GFA Coaching instructor has been with the Black Maidens team since 2012. He was an assistant coach of the Maidens in 2018 when Ghana played at the FIFA U-17 World Cup in Uruguay. And in January 2020 he was made head coach.
