Chairman Nuru declares his support for Local Government Minister

The North East Regional Chairmen of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Alhaji Fuseini Nurideen, has declared his overwhelming support for the candidature of the incumbent MP of Nalerigu/Gambaga constituency Hajia Alima Mahama ahead of the April 25th Parliamentary Primaries of the party.

The Nalerigu/Gambaga seat which is a safe seat for the ruling NPP according to  sources, will be keenly contested between the yet to be elected NPP parliamentary candidate, and Alhaji Yussif Baba an NDC parliamentary candidate for Nalerigu/Gambaga constituency.

The Nalerigu/Gambaga legislature who doubles as Minister of Local Government and rural development, is liaising her boat to lead the party in the Nalerigu/Gambaga constituency for the second time.

Alhaji Nurudeen in an interview with www.diamondfmonline.com, underscored the enormous contribution the Minister of Local Government had made towards the development of the constituency.

He added, the MP within her three years in charge of the constituency had put up three senior high schools within the constituency, “what do we want again than to maintain her to win the seat for us”, he quizzed.

“I promise her, she is going to be next MP in the constituency. I am the regional chairman there, and I have to back somebody who can win the seat for me. I have made up my mind that am going to support her to win the primaries and win the seat as well. This is what we are look out for”, he said.

“If you compare the performance of former President (Mahama), and Hajia being an MP, you could see that Hajia has done better than former President Mahama. Because, an MP within three years was able to build three Senior High Schools in her constituency. We have a SHS in Langbinsi, we have one in Sakoo, and one in Gbentri”, he stated.

“What she is doing in the constituency clearly shows she care about her people. I am impressed with her track record”, he said.

“I am convinced that she has a lot more positives to offer to the people of Nalerigu/Gambaga constituency and our dear party in subsequent years,” he mentioned.

Alhaji Fuseini Nurudeen also maintained that, his administration will not relent on its efforts but will rather work extra hard to win all the six  parliamentary seats in the region and ensure 100% votes for NPP come December 7 this year.
