Abudu Gate Optimistic the days where Dagbon was use as a political football would soon be over

Leader of ABudu Youth group of Dagbon, Alhaji Mugisu Sibawey, is optimistic that the days where Dagbon was used as a politics football would soon be over.

He is therefore advising Dagombas to shun politicians who for expediency, continually use them to fan chieftaincy related matters.

Alhaji Sibawey said this to Diamond News in reactions to the NDC minority in Parliament’s claim that they were not invited to participate in the funeral rites of the late king Ya Naa Mahamadu Abdulai IV.

According to him despite the shortest notice given them to perform the funeral, invitation letters were sent to various personalities include minorities MPs from Dagbon.

The Abudu Royal family, successfully completed the performance of the funeral rites of the late king on December 28, 2018, following the Asantehene led Mediation Committee’s timelines.

Member of parliament for Tamale central who double as Chairman of Northern NDC caucus in parliament, Alhaji Innusah Fuseini commenting on the failure minority MPs to attend the final funeral rites of late Naa Mahamadu, stated on Diamond FM that they weren’t invited therefore they could not attend the funeral.

However Alhaji Mugisu Sibawey, leader of the Abudu Youth denied the claim by the minority mps, saying the minority mps were invited, but they simply to failed to honor the invitation.
