An NPP affiliate youth group in the Sagnarigu Municipality has accused the Municipal Chief Executive Mariam Iddrisu of thwarting the area’s development and ruining political fortunes of the party in the Sagnarigu municipality.
The group is demanding her resignation or removal from office by the President Nana Akufo-Addo to safeguard the fortunes of the NPP in the Sagnarigu Municipality.
This is not the first time some forces within the ruling NPP in the Sanarigu Municipality have agitated for she removal from office as MCE.
According to the aggrieved and concerned youth group, Mariam Iddrisu is known for disrespecting elders and constituency executives coupled with her autocratic style of leadership thus making the party unpopular within the municipality.
Secretary to the group Haruna Abdul Rashidalso in an interview with Diamond News alleged that plans to construct a six unit classroom block for Choggu Nuri-Islam had been changed by the MCE to a different community. She is also accused by the youth group for awarding contracts to her father.
The NPP aggrieved and concerned youth also accused Mariam Iddrisu of failing to reward loyal and hardworking members of the NPP within the Municipality.
